Monday - Friday March 24 - 28, 9am-12pm

Open to all Rock Island- Milan School District students, 1st - 6th grade

DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 9am - 9:30am: Check-in/Breakfast

  • 9:30am - 11:30am: Community Partner Program

  • 11:30am - 12pm: Lunch


Science and Nature: “Bugs”

Held at Rock Island Center for Math and Science

Grades 1-6

Join us for an exciting exploration of the fascinating world of bugs!

This program will ignite your curiosity about insects, spiders, and other creepy crawlies. Program partners include the Putnam Museum, Nahant Marsh, and the “Curious By Nature” Group at Hauberg Estate, who will welcome the students twice during the week for hands on activities at one of Rock Island’s most historic homes.

Basketball Future Stars

Held at Rock Island Center for Math and Science

Grades 1-6

Calling all young basketball stars! This Spring Intersession Basketball program, in partnership with Rock Island Parks and Recreation, is designed to teach fundamental skills, encourage teamwork, and promote a love for the game. Join us for drills, games, and a fun-filled week of basketball action.

Artful Explorers

Held at Earl Hanson

Grades 1-6

Unleash your inner artist! Join us for a vibrant series of engaging activities for all ages and skill levels. Students will explore their artistic side with Figge Art Museum, unleash Canvas Painting creativity with Zay Creatives, Dance with the talented Royal Drama Dance Team, explore art history with German American Heritage center activities and a delightful puppet show from Eulenspiegel Puppet Theater. Don't miss this opportunity for artistic exploration and unforgettable experiences!

Swimming Lessons with Rock Island Parks and Recreation

Held at Earl Hanson

Grades 1-3 ONLY

Lessons are designed for BEGINNING swimmers. Swim Camp brings a focus to water safety and swim skills that are key to progressing into safe, confident swimmers.

*Campers will need to wear proper swimming attire and have dry clothes to change into after lessons. Students are transported from Thomas Jefferson to RIFAC by Spring Forward staff.
