Rock Island Center for Math & Science: Butterworth Center & Deere Wiman House

As John Deere’s son, Charles’ life was planned out. His father needed Charles to help him take Deere & Company into the future. During camp we will learn about the many innovations that Charles saw during his life. A visit through Charles’ house and some science experiments demonstrating the innovations in his life will fill the day with fun.

Rock Island Academy Field Trip: Nature Adventure

Students from Rock Island Academy will be visiting St. Mary’s Monastery for a nature exploration in partnership with Nahant Marsh. Make sure that students wear their SFLC T-Shirts and good walking shoes! All Parents and Volunteers are invited to join Spring Forward students!

Choose your adventure on the Great River Trail (GRT) and include BRRunch at Duey’s Corner Tap in Port Byron on Saturday, December 10th from 9am-1pm. It’s winter in the Midwest so it could be cool or downright cold, raining or snowing, windy or calm, dry or muddy. Choose your adventure wisely and in accordance with trail conditions. You can bike the GRT from the Quad Cities or any point in between, take a hike or mountain bike at Illiniwek Forest…
